Aircraft
Having a plane on your side was a major advantage on the battlefeild, planes were faster and easier to manuver. Soldiers could use pistols to shoot from their plane to an enemy plane in order to take it down, this later evolved into planes having mounted guns and large dogfights. Planes were also used for spying on enemie's bases and cities in order to gather information on what's going on with the people down below.
